Welcome to Our New Website
We are pleased to launch the newly updated website. It replaces a site developed in 2002, some eleven years ago. Eleven is acceptable if you are a Twinkie, not if you are website.
Although that old site worked well, it was important to update the look and feel to be consistent with our current marketing, and we wanted improved functionality. I am proud of several features. We developed it to be responsive, which means it works well with smart phones and tablets, because a few people use those. We commissioned a great photographer, Dale Goodvin, who has an uncommonly fast-growing beard, to take pictures of North Tacoma neighborhoods and some surrounding areas. “It is valuable for people to get a sense of the unique beauty and character of each of these areas,” says Dale through copious facial hair, “and hopefully these photos help do that.” Thank you, Dale. To view, navigate toNeighborhoods and click on any neighborhood. A carousel will appear at the bottom of the screen serving up images of that area. I especially like the shots from downtown—Dale really captured the vitality of our city. Please note another feature here in the Neighborhoods section. Hover your pointer over the names of neighborhoods to see where they are on the map. It also works in reverse—hovering over the map. Quiz: Do you know where the North Slope is? Find out. I am pleased that our Testimonials section now features photos of past clients beside the kind words that they allegedly said about us. Finally, accolades to my talented brother-in-law, Nowel Pawliw, for his design work, project oversight and patience, as well as our updated logo. If you would like contact info for Nowel or Dale, please ask me.
