Downtown Ice Skating with Kareem Kandi

I hope the clear, crisp weather has you venturing out. Tonight consider some ice skating downtown, Rockefeller Center style. Local jazzman, Kareem Kandi, will be blowing sweet sounds at Franciscan Polar Ice Plaza at South 17th and Pacific Ave. Music is from 7-9pm. I caught up with Kareem to find out what kind of set a musician plans for an ice skating gig. “We are going to play a variety of music ranging from jazz standards, funk, soul, and blues. There will be something for everyone and it will definitely be festive and a soundtrack worthy to skate to.”
